Chinese 18th/19th C. Flower Shape Yixing Teapot – Lion
Fine antique chinese Zisha Ware Teapot, 18th/19th Century
Great flower shaped teapot with a lion on the top of the cover. The teapot bears two marks, one inside the cover (not to read), the second one on the base „made by Shi Dabin“. This mark refers to Shi Dabin (1573-1648), one of the most famous potters of the Ming dynasty. He produced teapots in the early 17th century, the Wanli era.
Excellent condition: frit at the spout, two chips at the cover outside and typical traces of use. Further no cracks, chips, hairlines or restorations.
