Chinese 19th C. Fencai Snuff Bottle – Wu Shuang Pu
Very Rare chinese Famille Rose Snuff Bottle, 19th Century
Square shaped snuff bottle with four important figures from a book of woodcut prints „Wu Shuang Pu“ (originally published 1694 by the painter Jin Guliang), painted in thin enamelled colour. On the base a red 4-Character Mark „Chenghua“. The stopper is Achat and the spoon from bone. Possible from a later time.
The foure figures are (from left to right): Tao Yuanming (365-427), probably Li Bi (722-789), An Min (ca. 1050-1125) and Li Bai (701-762) .
Excellent condition: a small line in the glaze (photo 5) – further only the typical traces of production and use.
Height: ca. 8 cm
